Hi,
Sorry, I didn’t realize the problem was with the inline POI list (under the map), I thought it was the left-hand list.
This should be fixed in 2.76.4.
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this. It was a bug, and should be fixed in 2.76.3.
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this, it was a bug, and it should be fixed in 2.76.2.
Hi,
Thanks for writing. I replied to your earlier email on this but the email address was invalid.
Leaflet unfortunately doesn’t support 2-finger panning. It’s possible to do with various plugins, but I don’t have any plans yet to integrate those into MapPress. If you need custom development, please feel free to reach out with the contact form.
Otherwise, you can try using Google, which has excellent 2-finger support. Or, make the Leaflet map less than full-screen (i.e. use a width of 80% instead of 100% to allow for a “gutter” where the users can scroll the page).
You can also submit a request to the Leaflet team here. It would be useful, since it’s best if they add this to their core library:
Hi,
Assuming you use the classic editor, here’s how to change the center:
1. Edit the map
2. Above the list of POIs is a ‘settings’ section. Expand it and choose ‘automatic’ in the center/zoom section.
3. Alternatively, center the map where you’d like it and choose ‘set’ instead.
4. Save the map
Hi,
I see – the POI lat/lng is in the right place, but the center is reversed.
How do you output the map, with a shortcode, Gutenberg block or PHP? Please paste your shortcode or PHP here.
Hi,
I took a look, and what’s saved in the map is actually “54.0204685,12.5635314”. It looks like it’s displaying correctly, but the latitude and longitude were reversed.
Hi,
What happens if you write the center like this?
"center" => "54.5,-4.5"
This was changed at some point – the plugin will process the center this way, rather than as a lat/lng array.
Also, please use version 2.73.17 or higher – there was a bug in 2.73.16 where some lat,lng entries weren’t handled properly.
How are you generating the map? Are you using the Gutenberg post editor?
If not, could you please past the shortcode (or other code) here?
Thanks for reporting this! Can you please give me the shortcode, or an example? A URL for the map would also be helpful.
Strange, I tried that code and it worked for me, although the one that patches/changes Leaflet did not.
Hi,
Funny, I never noticed that behavior until you pointed it out. It seems to be a long-standing a Leaflet bug/feature, and it’s discussed here:
https://github.com/Leaflet/Leaflet/issues/4125
The best approach is to get Leaflet to patch their behavior. You can also try this approach from stackoverflow, which has no timing dependency (‘mapp0’ is the first map on the screen):
jQuery(document).ready(function() { mapp0.getMap().getContainer().focus = ()=>{}; })If that doesn’t work, I can add a workaround to MapPress, and it will be included in the next major release. Please use the contact form to email me for info on testing this functionality.
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this! There was a bug in 2.73.15, which prevented adding new locations. It should be fixed in 2.73.16, which I’ve just released. Could you try the new version and let me know how it works for you?
Hi,
The ‘MapPress’ button is attached to the post editor, so it can’t be used if the editor isn’t visible.
However, you can also edit maps (and attach them to posts) using the map editor located under the main plugin menu. It’s on the left side of the admin: MapPress -> Maps.
The MapPress settings only lists categories and tags, but when adding a new filter the ‘filter type’ dropdown should list all taxonomies.
There are a number of settings related to making a taxonomy public, not just the REST API. An easy way to test is by using the CPT UI plugin to add the taxonomy:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
The default settings will make the taxonomy publicly available, and it should show in the MapPress settings.
