Hi,
Sorry for my slow reply. The widget is really meant for mashups more than for showing a single map, but the way you’ve done it should work (‘page_id=’ for a page or ‘p=’ for a post).
I have some other items to implement first but it’s been on my to-do list for a long time to add a widget for a single map ID. Let me know if this is something you need or if the workaround above is sufficient.
Hi,
Sorry for the confusion, the documentation was incorrect – I’d updated the readme.txt but not the documentation page. It’s corrected now.
The mashup click setting is global, as you noticed. All mashups must have the same behavior.
The ‘hidden’ parameter has been deprecated. You can implement something similar using a custom div and a little javascript. Just be sure to call the ‘resize’ method for the map. For example, enter this in the HTML tab of the post editor for your WordPress post/page:
<div id='hiddenmap' style='display:none'> [mappress] </div> <a href="#" onclick="jQuery('#hiddenmap').show(); mapp0.resize();">Click to show map</a>That internal function has been removed.
You could instead use getPois() which returns *all* pois, and then manipulate the one you want.
Hi, have you tried clearing your browser cache?
If that doesn’t help, please use the contact form to send a login and I’ll take a look. I don’t have that error in my test system.
@dominik Sorry about the crossed wires, but thank you for the update. Hopefully the new version will correct the problem, I’ve just published it.
Hi,
The original poster had a typo in the shortcode, but I did some testing after I saw your note and it turns out this is actually a bug. It’s fixed in 2.47.4, which should be available this afternoon.
Thanks for letting me know.
I think I see the problem: older versions stored a zero center (indicating the plugin should auto center) differently than the newer versions.
I’ve got a workaround ready for 2.47.4. Could you use the contact form to send me an email address so I can get you a copy for testing?
I think re-publishing the post should work, but only if the box “Overwrite maps when posts are saved” is checked in the MapPress settings before saving (when unchecked, it prevents any saved maps from being overwritten, i.e. for manual changes).
Hi,
I see what you mean. Normally the map should center over the POI, but it looks like an explicit center of 0,0 was used.
Can you provide the shortcode or PHP you’re using to display the map?
What happens if you publish or save the post again? Does it then recenter?
Hi, WordPress will display ALL posts if there’s something incorrect in the query. For example, often the custom post type name is different from its displayed title.
But your problem may be simple: there is a typo in the shortcode. All parameters need ‘=’ in front of them, so ‘query=’ not just ‘query’:
[mashup query="posts_per_page=-1&post_type=unterkuenfte"]Did you try #2, clearing the browser cache?
Hi,
To change the default icon: in the MapPress settings, click on the icon in the section ‘default icon’. A popup box should appear. Select a different marker from the popup.
If you’re not seeing that popup:
1. reinstall the plugin and
2. clear your browser cache. If you still don’t see it, please feel free to use the contact form to send a login and I’ll have a look.
October 17, 2017 at 3:43 am in reply to: Suggestion: Option to disable loading of Google Map API #17566Hi,
I’d love to do that but I don’t think it’s possible: MapPress uses API libraries (places, drawing) which are not commonly loaded by other plugins/themes.
Google has unfortunately set up the API so that additional libraries can only be specified with the initial API script request (they can’t be loaded later).
By disabling the other plugin/theme’s API load, MapPress can load the API only on pages where it’s needed, and it can specify those libraries at load time.
Hi,
The default changed from sorting to not sorting, but you can control it in the shortcode. You can also set it globally through the settings screen (so it’s not necessary to set it in each shortcode).
Hi, poi/post are correct I’ve removed the word ‘boolean’ in the documentation and replaced it with the correct strings. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for reporting this. I think I found the problem and fixed it.
WordPress sets a flag indicating it’s in the admin during AJAX calls, even calls from the frontend. The plugin was excluding custom templates in admin screens, but didn’t check for the AJAX case (which applies to mashups).
The fix is in 2.46.5, please give that version a try and let me know how it works for you.
