I’m very new to Map Press, but I’m not finding this in the manual or forum, so please forgive me if it’s a very silly question.

I have a site with a mashup that draws from posts. The posts will not all be present at once…new ones will get added over time.

I’m fairly sure I’ve determined that I have to update the mashup containing page to get it to display newly added posts. Is there any way to make it automatically look for new posts it should display, or will I have to train the client to resave the main page every time they add a new map? (To complicate things, it appears not to regenerate unless I make a small change when saving the page — perhaps something to do with WordPress’ versioning system?)

I’m afraid I can’t provide a link, as the site is locked down during development.

    Hi,

The mashup is based on a query, so whenever you add new posts it will show them automatically – you don’t need to adjust the mashup, change it, or save it each time.

If you’re viewing the mashup in a web browser, you just need to refresh the page (using your browser’s refresh button) to run the query and see the new results.

It’s working perfectly now. I’m not sure what I was doing wrong earlier, but it might have had to do with editing existing posts rather than creating new ones? At any rate, I’m now adding points with no issues — thanks.
