    Hi Chris,

First of all… great plugin and thanks for sharing a free version of it. It’s by far the best google maps plugin available!

I’ve used it on and off, always with great results, but now I’m facing a problem that I’ve spent many hours trying to figure out…without success.

So, I’ve tried your last version in a small site I have and everything went smootly until I’ve tried resizing the browser to test the responsive theme design…

I have a big map right on the homepage and when it goes below a certain width (750px) the templates resizes the main content area, the map also resizes and …puff!! all POI markers are gone. When I increase the browser width again, puff…everything back!

I’ve really tried to analyse everything, but couldn’t understand what’s happening.

If you could help me I would really appreciate it. The site is here: http://bit.ly/11RDBbT

    cheers,

    miguel

    Hi Miguel,

I don’t know either, but I’m guessing it’s something in your theme.  What happens if you use the 2012 theme with your other plugins disabled (i.e. a plain WP site)?

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your fast answer. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and the behavior was the same.

Since the POI’s disappear when the responsive  changes the layout for smaller screens (it also activates a different menu) I’m kind of sure it’s related with that.

Some dynamic sizing of some element that has this effect.

I’ve actually spent quite some time trying understand the Z-index os elements in the map and in the theme, to check if it was some kind of overlay.

    Couldn’t figure it out…

I do understand that you don’t have the time to go around looking into people’s themes…just thought that you could have seen this before or had some idea of things to look for.

    cheers,

    miguel

P.S. Love your “bigger map” feature! 🙂
