    Hi Chris,

    I have two mashups that I would like to combine.  What would be the best way to do this?  The example I am working with is below.  It involves combining query results for different post types.  I didn’t find an example of how to do that in the documentation.

    [mashup query=”post_type=units” width=”98%” height=”600″ marker_link=”true”]

    [mashup query=”post_type=post&category_name=Crime” width=”98%” height=”600″ marker_link=”true”]

    Thanks.

    Brad

    Hi,

    If it helps, the full query reference is here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query

    I think you can just use post_type, separating the types with commas.  For example, for posts & units:

    query="post_type=post,units"

    You can also use this to get all post types (in which case you’ll need to identify the relevant posts by category, tag, or something else):

    query="post_type=any"

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks, that was just the ticket.  I used this shortcode syntax that worked fine:

    [mashup query=”post_type=crimes,units” width=”98%” height=”600″ marker_link=”true”]

    (I also made a new custom post type “crimes” rather than leaving those as generic “posts.”)

    The info at http://thereforei.am/2011/10/28/advanced-taxonomy-queries-with-pretty-urls/ was also very helpful.

    Brad
