Maps zoomed out no longer shown in posts

Hi,

After latest update the maps that are not saved at default view/zoom state, will not show the map in post any more.

Example:



The above maps do display in plugin map library, but will not on live post. But if I zoom in and save in map library, the map will show in live post again.

If I create a new map and save this map at default zoom, it will display as normal in published post. The weird thing is that several posts do show, even if they’re zoomed out:

I now have an unknown number of posts where the map will not display.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this.

I think it’s actually related to the jQuery library update bundled with WP 5.6. The new version deprecated some string functions which were used when determining the map center. I put in a workaround for the missing functions, which works for strings – but it failed in the case where the center is saved as a lat,lng.

I’ve just published 2.58.1, which should fix this error. Please let me know how it works for you!
