I run a website through WORDPRESS version 4.2.2
I purchased MapPress Pro Basic Licence version 2.42.1
When looking at the maps through my old PC, and on my iphone, the maps function and look correct.
I recently purchased a SURFACE Windows 8.1. When attempting to view the maps through this device they do not work.
To view one of the pages where I uses MapPress on our site please visit http://www.relaxandrelease.co.uk/scaravelli-inspired-yoga-retreat/huzur-vadisi-yoga-holiday/
Go toward the bottom of the page and there are Tab sections across the page. One is titled TRAVEL. The Map is located under this tab. Please can you advise. Many thanks.
June 9, 2015 at 5:04 am #15885Hi,
I’m not aware of any conflicts on the Surface, although I don’t have one to test with.
What exactly isn’t working – can you explain or send a screenshot? What browser and browser version are you using?
In general, most issues are caused by conflicts from other plugins & themes, so as a first step, please temporarily deactivate ALL other plugins and switch to a standard theme (like 2015). If the map works with everything deactivated, you can reactivate one by one to find the conflict.
June 9, 2015 at 7:10 am #15886Thank you for getting back. Here is a link to a screen grab showing the map as I see it on the SURFACE Windows 8.1
In the SURFACE I was viewing in Explorer.
On my PC the map works correctly on the following Browsers: Google Chrome; Explorer; Firefox; Safari.
The company who developed and continue to manage our WordPress website are aware of the potential conflicts from plugins and themes etc. When we initially discovered the issue with the maps, we did turn off all other plugins etc apart from MapPress but the issue still remained. They suggested I post the issue on your forum which I did in an attempt to find a resolution.
June 9, 2015 at 7:33 am #15887I’ve just downloaded Google Chrome onto the SURFACE and the map works fine in this browser.
June 9, 2015 at 7:33 am #15888I’ve created the maps again and installed these into the site and they all work now, including on the SURFACE
June 9, 2015 at 7:34 am #15889Hi,
I’m a little confused – are the maps working in IE on the Surface now, or only in Chrome?
If they’re working in IE, what did you install or change to make that happen?
June 9, 2015 at 11:50 am #15892To confirm the maps are now working it seems on all browsers, both on the SURFACE, on my PC and on the iphone.
To be truthful I am unsure on what fixed the issue.
The two areas which I changed were:
1. I uploaded Google Chrome onto the SURFACE
2. I created new maps in MapPress in WORDPRESS and installed these onto the site replacing the existings MapPress mapsI then went back into the SURFACE to view in EXPLORER and the maps were working.
