I’m afraid not, I guess usually folks want to name the outlined area, so I never implemented that feature. However:
- It’s usually a lot easier to draw shapes using KML (for example with Google Earth, or lots of other sites). They have better drawing tools, and you can snap to roads, etc.
- As a bonus, if you use KML, MapPress does have an option to hide KMLs in the POI list.
I hope that helps. If not, let me know and I’ll look into an option to hide shapes, but it maybe be a few weeks before the next release.
