WordPress Map Filters

Let visitors narrow a busy map to what they want: one brand, one service, open-air venues only. MapPress Pro filters map markers by category, tag, post type or custom field.

Try it: click Filter and pick a brand.

How it works

  • Filter by anything. Categories, tags or any custom taxonomy, post type, custom fields, or a text search.
  • Choose the control. Checkboxes, a dropdown, radio buttons or a text box.
  • Place it where it fits. Show filters above the map or in the location list, and choose whether they start open.
  • Works with search. Visitors can search for a place and filter the results together.

Add it to your site

  1. In MapPress › Settings › Filters, add a filter for each category, taxonomy or field you want visitors to use.
  2. Turn filters on for mashups, single maps or both, or per map with filter="true".

Yes. Filters can use custom fields as well as categories, tags, custom taxonomies and post types.

Can I use a dropdown instead of checkboxes?
Yes. Each filter can be checkboxes, a dropdown, radio buttons or a text box.
