How it works
- Upload your own markers. Use your logo or any image as a map pin.
- Icon editor. Pick a shape and color, add a glyph from thousands of symbols, and set its color and size. No graphics program needed.
- Standard icons. About 100 ready-made icons for common places: coffee, food, lodging, beaches, trails, transit and more.
- Automatic icons. Assign an icon to each category, tag or post type, and every location in it gets that marker automatically.
- Icon size. Scale all markers up or down to suit your map.
Add it to your site
- Open a map in the editor and click a marker’s icon to choose a standard icon, upload an image, or open the icon editor.
- For automatic icons, go to MapPress › Settings › Icons and pick an icon for each category or post type.
FAQ

Can markers change by category?
Yes. Automatic icons give every location in a category, tag or post type its own marker.
Do custom markers work on OpenStreetMap?
Yes. Custom markers work with every map engine MapPress supports.
Free vs Pro: the free version uses the standard marker. Custom marker images, the icon editor, standard icons and automatic icons are part of Pro.
