    Hi again Chris,

I’ve been trying to go through the docs and forum, but I’m afraid I only know just enough about Mappress Pro to make myself dangerous. Please forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I’ve got a mashup with 100 locations. I have about 7 categories for all those POIs (historic site, family-friendly, seasonal). Some locations belong to more than one category (POI X is seasonal and family-friendy).

In the mashup POI list, is there a straightforward way for me to show “sections” for each category, which would mean a POI would show up more than once in the list? Meaning, once in the “seasonal section,” once in the “family-friendly section.” Does that make sense?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,

That’s a great question, but I’m sorry – there’s no way to modify the POI list like that.  It’s generated in the frontend and there aren’t any ‘hooks’ to control the structure, other than the template for the list items.

    As a workaround:

    – you could use a mashup filter by category.  Users could then select one or more categories and a POI will appear (once) if it’s in any of the selected categories.

    – or, you could show a list of categories under the POI title, i.e. “historic, seasonal”.  To do that, fetch the list of assigned categories into a POI prop and then include it in the list or popup templates.  It would require a little ABAP code, as described in the documentation.

Thank you for the quick response! I was afraid there might not be a way, but wanted to be sure.

I think it works great as is, but the person I’m working for wanted the category section. I’m already doing your first suggestion, and thank you for the second suggestion as I’m going to implement it.

Thanks for the great plug-in! Seems like I looked through a million options and this one’s a winner.
